Garden Score #1 (Planting score) and Garden Score #2 (Soundwalk) are collaged works based off of 'scores' (as in a music composition) I created for my garden back in 2021 — a spring planting 'score' and a score for a meditative 'soundwalk' through my garden. The images are built up from scrap materials left over from previous projects related to seeds and planting, including cyanotypes of speculative seed germinations from 2021 and a map of Asian farmworker history in California, which was completed in 2023.
Debuted at/originally created for YBCA's Bay Area Now 9 Triennial.
